Dr. Donald A. McCain and Dr. Robert Morin of the Melanoma NYC Center perform all skin cancer treatments at the Department of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital. Our surgical oncologist, Dr. McCain performs the initial wide local excision to remove the tumor. After the cancerous tumor has been removed, our reconstructive surgeon, Dr. Morin repairs and restores the treatment area. If patients require further treatment, they will be referred to the John Theurer Cancer Center at the Hackensack University Medical Center.

If the cancerous tumor has spread to the lymph nodes, our medical oncologist, Dr. Andrew Pecora, will enter patients into NIH-sponsored medical trials at the John Theurer Cancer Center at the Hackensack University Medical Center. These clinical trials are part of the Skin and Sarcoma-Cutaneous Malignancy Program at John Theurer Cancer Center, where we offer advanced medical treatments such as melanoma vaccine, checkpoint inhibitor immunotherapy and more.
